clonezilla 起動しない

Debian8.2-32bit版をVirtualBoxにインストールしたものを
clonezillaでバックアップしようとしたが
アーキテクチャーが合わないという旨のエラーメッセージが出て起動できない。
amd64,i686どちらも試したがやはりだめ？
仕方が無くVirtualBox上の仮想ディスクにclonezillaをインストールして
それにバックアップする仮想ディスクを接続してバックアップをとった。
なんだかなー

まったく不親切なlinuxだ(笑)アップデートするたびに何か動かなくなる。
今回はsamba,ssh．．．
# uname -a

# systemctl disable smbd.service winbindd.service samba.service
# systemctl enable smbd.socket
